“Connection error” when accessing webcam on HP Windows XP system

For the last few days I am not able to access webcam on my HP Windows XP system. Whenever I try to access it, it shows “connection error” but I could see that the hardware connections are perfectly fine. What shall I do?

Though you are not finding any troublespot in the webcam, generally the software diagnosis is preety perfect.

If the webcam is computer mounted remove the camera. Inspect perfectly, Possibly install in another computer and check the system to deduce any inference.

If the webcam is found okay, uninstall the existing driver for imaging device in device manager,
Install another driver for webcam, and then check the situation.

If the system is a laptop, contact the service center as hardware checking in a laptop is beyond users ability.

    dont worry.....

    its not a big problem.......

    just follow my instructions......

1.its not problem of the hardware that you are using.......

2.it might be the software problem.....

3.so just try to update your current using windows version......

4.if it dosent work....then try to install the windows again....

    5.it will definetly work......

    all the best........
