“CTRL + A” does not select all the text on the document

I opened the word document and need to select the entire text, so I pressed the “CTRL + A”, but could not select the text. I never changed the shortcut keys and they are default. I need to know the reason. What might be the problem? Please, help me!

as you said that you just open the document but you didn't mention that document was active that time or your cursor blinking in the sheet because the default key working properly . you simply need to click in the middle of the sheet then it become active and i hope then your key will start functioning properly .

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..............

1.Firstly you open the word document.

    3.Then you press 'Ctrl+A'.

4.I hope it will work now.

If it doesn't work then you can do only one thing.
