“WIN + R” combination is not opening “run” in Windows 8 System

Usually, I open “run” using “WIN + R”. But, I installed Windows 8 in my System and when I try to open run with this combination, it is not working. I scanned the entire system but could not solve the issue. Please, anyone help me in solving this.

    Hello.
    I understand your concern.

If you are on the Start Screen, you must press Windows Logo Key + X and select Run from the list.

To accesc run command box by pressing Windows Logo key + R, you must be in Desktop screen.

In the Desktop Screen, you can press Windows Logo Key + R to open Run command box.

    Regards
    Vincent Daniel.

Start "RUN" in Windows-8 with keys [Win-Logo]+[R] and type in »(Edit-Box) "compmgmt.msc" and press [ENTER] to RUN the "Computer Management" in Windows-8.
