7 Zip Compression Software does not compress PDF Files in Windows Vista

I installed 7 Zip Compression Software in Windows Vista System. I tried to compress the folder which has only PDF Files and faced the error. When I tried to compress the folder, which has PDF Files along with some other files, it was done smoothly. What might be the problem? Please, help me!

7zip compression software was a very good application to compress files....coming to your question, PDF is a portable document file...
unless there are images in the PDF you dont find much difference on compressing PDF files alone.

as you found some error, this might be with your software problem only.. you can uninstall it and reinstall it again.
    your problem will be solved.

    all the best

    Hi,

See,this is where 7 Zip Compression Software lacks.
I will suggest you to rather install
    "Universal Extractor".
This software program can compress any kind of file be it .pdf,.doc or any other extension file!

    So,just go for it!
You can easily download "Universal Extractor" from the internet!

    Dear friend,

The compression of a file depends upon the file types. Some files such as music files, software files, can be compressed more than other files such
as Word, PDF files. You can face the size of compressed file problem due to this reason. If you are facing problem with 7 Zip software,
then you can use following alternatives:

    1. WinRAR

    2. WinZip

These programs can compress file with any extension up to maximum compression. Both of these are paid version, but you can use trial packs for some time period.

    Thanks!

Re: 7 Zip Compression Software does not compress PDF Files in Windows Vista

    Hi, Friend

There are Two possible reasons behind this issue

One is the 7 Zip compress software not working problem

and another one is ... corruption file issues....... that is ... whenever the files ... that is whatever the files you are trying to compress are corrupted .... then also it behaves like that

So, first of all make sure that all the files of inside the folder are working or not

and also check whether using the software for compress ....is working properly or not

and if you are ... unable to compress the files with ... 7 zip .. try to go for the alternate software that is WinRAR ... simply download it ..from the internet and install it

and then compress the files ....and for the download visit this website www.CNET.com

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 7 Zip Compression Software does not compress PDF Files in Windows Vista

    Hello Friend,

I think you are having this problem because the 7 Zip software has not installed properly to your system otherwise you should not have any difficulty in converting PDF documents to compressed format. You should try to download the latest version of the 7Zip software from the internet and install it to your PC and check whether you problem is over or not.

If you are still having the porblem then there are other softwares are there whcih can compress any files. You should download any of them and install it to your PC. The following are two very popular compression softwares,

    1. WinZip.
    2. WinRar.

I hope this information will be useful to you.

    Bye,

Re: 7 Zip Compression Software does not compress PDF Files in Windows Vista

    Hi,

Well, the problem your facing may be due some incompatibility.

Here 7Zip software, some times fails to compress some files.

Different software are available to compress files other than 7Zip.

Try WinZip or WinRar software for better performance.

    ========Thank you=========
