Re: Adding short cut to the Start menu in Windows XP in Dell notebook

For adding a short cut to the start menu in Windows XP, you should do the following steps.
    • First of all ‘My Documents’ should be browsed and again subfolders to get the file for which you would like to create a shortcut
    • Drag the specific file to the ‘Start’ button and hold for 1 second
    • While the ‘Start’ menu opens, the file should be dragged to the specific location where you would like to add the shortcut
    • Just drop the file where you want to add a short cut and a short cut icon appears
This is how you create a shortcut for a specific file in start menu. By doing so, you can view your favorite file for easy access along with the programs.

STEP 2: Click on the Start Button and Select the Programs which you want to create shortcut for. Drag them in to the "Faves" Folder.
