Altering the size of grid which auto arrange icons on Windows 7

When I auto arrange icons on the desktop of my laptop running on Windows 7, it will be aligned to a grid. I want to change the size of that grid. In what way can I accomplish it?

Get into the bottom part of the desktop and click the ‘Start’ button available over there. On doing so, you can view the start menu on the screen. Locate the start search from the start menu and type Change Window color into it. Hit the ‘Enter’ key afterwards so that you can find a list of search results. Choose ‘Change Window Color and metrics’ item from that list. After that, you can view both Icon spacing (horizontal) and Icon spacing (vertical settings) settings. Alter these settings to change the grid size according to your need.
