In my Windows XP System, when I try to click on ‘.REG’ Registry File, it is opening in Notepad. I am unable to merge it. I do not want this to happen. I am in need of help from you. Please, anyone help me out in solving the problem.

Solution
STEP 1: Click Start >> Run.
STEP 2: Type “regedit”, hit Enter.
STEP 3: “Registry Editor” opens.
STEP 4: Click on “File” Menu.
STEP 5: Select “import”.
STEP 6: Dialog box opens and select the ‘.REG’ file.
STEP 7: Follow the steps, your problem is solved.
