Attrib command not working in windows 7(64-bit) ultimate edition

Actually my hard disk was infected by a trojan horse so I used advanced trojan remover software to remove it and now the trojan has been removed but all the files in hard disk are hidden. When I tried Attrib command ,it shows an error”attrib command not recognised as internal or external command”. What can be the cause for this type of message as I know that attrib command works in windows 7.

In windows command prompt when you try to perform operations on file or folder containing the characters "& ( ) ^ ; | , or <space>" you get the above error.And ensure again that trojan horse has been removed completly,otherwise this can also disable the batch commands.
Or you can use alternate method.
in windows explorer
TOOls->folder options->view->show hidden files.

if any ATTRIB command is not working correctly despite of the presence of the Recovery Console, it should be that the Registry is corrupt. This can be easily be settled down by repairing your system.

You can repair using windowxp CD
So the fix is :-
a:>attrib -h -s c:\windows\*.*
