Avoiding reference to earlier version of Windows from Windows 7

Even though I have deleted old windows and selected Windows 7 on my PC, the startup process is too slow. It seems that the system will speed up after omitting reference to earlier version of Windows. What are the steps needed to be taken for that?

Get into ‘Control Panel’ from the start menu after hitting the ‘Start’ button. Select ‘System’ icon available on the ‘Control Panel’ window. After that, hit the ‘Advanced System Settings’ option visible on the left pane. Then, choose the ‘Startup and Recovery’ option from displayed menu. The next step required is to select the default OS on your system. Uncheck the checkbox next to the Time for displaying the operating system list. This will start up your system with its default OS without any delay. In this way, you can neglect the reference to earlier version of Windows while booting up.
