Black/blank screen after user account login in Acer notebook running Windows

When I log on to the user account in my Acer notebook running windows, I can see the welcome screen in 15 to 30 sec and after that I will be directed to a black/blank screen. Why is this getting re-directed?

    dear::

First try Safe Mode and reseting defaults in the BIOS, Acer it is F2 for BIOS and F9 to load defaults, followed by F10 to save changes. If the unit boots safe mode then you can use msconfig to disable all startup applications and all non-Microsoft services temporarily.

If you have no data and don't care about going back to factory defaults you can do so by rebooting the computer and hitting Alt + F10 repeatly at the Acer logo.

If you see a white progress bar with some text that says Loading Windows you have successfully entered the recovery partition, follow the prompts to restore the os to factory defaults.

If after doing a complete factory restore and the unit still exhibits the same issue, it is a hardware issue and it will need to be serviced by Acer if it is still under warranty

    Hi,
Try to solve the problem in the following process.
    1. Reboot athe system and press F8,
    2. Select “repair my computer”,
    3. Select the keyboard layout and language,
    4. When you reach `system recovery tools`, select “System Restore”
    5. Select the restore point when the system was running fine and restart the computer,
If you dont have the “System Restore Point”, try Startup again. This is the commonest method to solve your trouble.
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Make new user account by following these steps.

You can repair your computer with the bootable disk.

Restart your computer and then click on repair.

If not than you will have to re install your OS again.

    -Regards

    Hi,
This is one of the effects that you have when your machine has caught virus like autorun.exe or Trojan. You open the machine, it takes time to boot and even after booting you do not get your screen correct or it may happen that your screen is hanging up after booting. Now it would have been better if you would have written in more details about the situation. For example, I wanted to know if you can get access to the desktop after sometime or not at all. If you could see the desktop and could at least continue the normal work for sometime then it would be possible for you to first take a backup of your files and then go for a formatting of your machine. Also I do not know which version of Windows you are using. If you are using Windows XP then formatting for you is excessively necessary. If however you are using Windows 8 then direct formatting would not be necessary. You can just go of the Backup and Restore option to keep all your existing files safe and sound in their location and just re-install the Windows Operating System itself.
Now you just check, which option suits you the best and apply that for yourself.

Re: Black/blank screen after user account login in Acer notebook running Windows

    Dear friend,

There can be different reason behind this problem:

    1. Your PC is infected with viruses or malware. In this case, you should setup a boot time scan with your antivirus.
Today, most of the antiviruses support the boot time scan. This can clean your PC without loading Windows. This will
work after restarting the PC and before loading the Windows.

    2. In Windows 7, this problem is mainly caused by Windows activation system. If you are using a pirated Windows 7 then
you are going to face this problem forever until you activate your Windows. If you’re using a genuine Windows 7, then you
can use WAT Remover software that can remove the Windows activation technology and the related processes. This will
solve the blank screen problem also.

    Thanks!
