C Drive missing in Windows XP

I have recently upgraded the add on in Windows XP. When I check computer properties, it says, C drive is missing. But the system works well. Why this happens?

You still have the HDD attached to the computer, it is working else how come booting is happening? Booting is done only from the C:\, so dont worry.

You must have the idea of which add on was responsible for the problem. Uninstall it and check the system for drive c: notification.

Possibly the add on has some codes that supress the notification.

    Thank you.

    Dear friend..

    Follow my steps..

Seems like you have been infected with a fun list of trojans and malware.

To access you drives, explore the recycle bin.

Then in the address bar type C:\ and hit enter, that will allow you to view your files.

    If still you facing problem..

Go and Right click on My computer

    Select manage..

    Then click on Disk management...

Now you can See there your C drive..

Then open C drive there it will work..

I hope it will help you..

Thank you and All the best..

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say.........

1.The may be the problem of the virus which affected your computer.

2.So try to install a better antivirus software in your computer.

your system files may be deleted accidentally. As in this conditions only
this type of problems will rise.

So it is better to perform 'backup'.So that you may get the lost files to do so.

1.Make a right click on the My Computer folder.

    2.There you click on 'Manage'.

3.There you go to the storage and then to the 'Disk Management'.

4.Then you can able to 'Local Disk:C'.

5.Make a right click on it and open 'properties'.

6.There in the 'tools' tab you can see the option 'backup'.

7.By making a click on it you can perform backup.

I hope it will help you to fix your problem.

    Have a nice day............
