Camera app refuses to start in Toshiba C840

My brand new laptop came preinstalled with some apps and all of them work fine except the camera app. When I click on the camera app I get a message that the app is not compatible with Windows 8 and I should get the latest app. What should I do?

Yes the camera app is needed with the new version of software that exist latest in the system.,You can browse the internet and get the process of Camera application faster and easier. So when ever you installed the windows 8 system then you need to install the best software of camera application so that you can have video chatting clearly with your web camera.
Hope this issue is clear and the EALP forum members will help you a lot.

The messge is loud and clear.

The Camera App is not compatible,

There is need for the App to be uninstalled and log into Store to find the App again, tap the app and it will start downloading, it will automatically get installed, once the downloading is finished and you will be able to use it normally.

    Try that simple trick.

whether your brand new laptop came with windows 8 OS, or did you install windows 8 on your own...

if you bought it with windows 8, then camera app also should work..
if you install windows 8 on your own then you need to download particular drivers and also software to run camera app.

say you have installed those drivers and also camera app in your laptop and still find a problem with compatibility then follow these steps.
right click on the camera app and select "troubleshoot compatibility".

now select the OS which is recommended and click Test.
    It should work now..

    happy to assist you
