Cannot change the screen resolution of Windows 8 System

I want to change the screen resolution of my Windows 8 System, as I do not like the default. When I changed the resolution as per my wish, it is not showing the change. Please, if anyone can help me? Thank you in advance.

    Hi.
To see your monitor's native resolution, check the display settings in Control Panel.
    >>Open Screen Resolution by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), enteringDisplay in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, and then tapping or clicking Display.
    >>Tap or click the Resolution list and find the resolution marked (Recommended). This is your monitor's native resolution—usually the highest resolution your monitor can support.

    Thank you.

Re: Cannot change the screen resolution of Windows 8 System

    Dear friend,

If you are unable to set the desired screen resolution in Windows 8 then there can be two problems:
    1. You have not installed the video or graphic driver on your system. Without graphic driver, windows are not able to get the optimum resolution. To solve this, install video driver. If you have already installed the driver, make sure that it is compatible with Windows 8. If not, you should go to the graphic chip manufacturer’s website to download latest driver.
    2. The monitor you are using doesn’t support the screen resolution you are setting. Consult the monitor manual to find out the resolutions supported by the monitor. Set screen resolution according to manual of monitor.

    Thanks!
