    Cannot connect an Apple Mobile device error in Windows iTunes application

    The same Apple device I am able to connect in Mac iTunes application but when I try to connect the same with Windows iTunes application I get the error message as “This device cannot be used, because the Apple Mobile Device Service is not started”. What should I do now? How to make it work properly?

    Re: Cannot connect an Apple Mobile device error in Windows iTunes application

    This error shows up for one main reason in Windows machine that is the Apple Mobile Device service is not starting up in your Windows system automatically which should be normally. Now try to follow the below steps to attain the same,

    STEP 1: Open the Run windows (Windows key + R).

    STEP 2: Type Services.msc -> Select OK.

    STEP 3: Search for the service named as “Apple Mobile Device”

    STEP 4: Right click on the service -> Select Properties.

    STEP 5: Select Startup type -> Automatic.

    STEP 6: Select the Start button -> Apply the settings.

    STEP 7: Now try to connect your Apple Device to sync with iTunes which should work without any issues.

    Re: Cannot connect an Apple Mobile device error in Windows iTunes application

    Hello ,

    please install latest version of itunes

    >>download itunes from

    www.itunes.com

    >>after installing

    please follow these steps

    --> go to start
    --> expand the "All Programs" list and click on the "iTunes" icon
    --> Connect your iPhone to your computer using the iPhone USB cable.
    --> Click on the name of your iPhone underneath the "Devices" list on the left side of the main iTunes window
    --> Enable music and video syncing by using the tabs at the top of the window. Be aware of how much free memory you have on your iPhone before trying to transfer large amounts of data
    -->Click on the "Apply" button in the lower right corner of the window to sync your iPhone with Windows and begin transferring content

    Enjoy....!!!!
