Cannot find ‘Pin to Start’ option inside right-click menu on Windows 7 Home Premium

I am currently using Toshiba laptop running on Windows 7 Home Premium. When I right click on an icon within it, I am not able to view the ‘Pin to Start’ option inside the pop-up menu. Is there any way available to restore that option?

    Hi,

The important option sometimes gets lost and creates irritation as the option is an important one,

So getting the "Pin To Start"option back is important. here is how you can do it.

Click Start, in the search field type Run to open "Run" dialog box and input following command:
    regsvr32 /i shell32.dll,
Restart and it should fix your problem.

If the above method fail to fix the problem, then type regedit in "Run" dialog box, press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor. Search for the following key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer
In right pane, look for a DWORD value "NoStartMenuPinnedList", delete it.
Restart and your problem will hopefully be solved.

    Thanks.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..................

1.Firstly you open the 'Run' command.

2.There you type 'RegEdit' and press enter.

3.Then the 'registry Editor' will open.

4.Then you expand the tab 'HIKEY_LOCAL_USERS'.

5.Then you expand the 'Software' and then 'Microsoft'.

6.Later you expand 'Windows' and then 'CurrentVersion'.

7.Then you expand 'policies' and then 'Explorer'.

8.Then on the right side if you see the 'Nostartmenupinnedlist' make a right click on it and delete it.

That's it after doing that restart your computer and you can see the 'Pin to the start menu' option when you make a right click on any folder.

    Have a nice day................
