Cannot load iTunes on Windows Vista due to Data Prevention Execution (DEP)

I can’t launch iTunes on my laptop running on Windows for transferring data to IOS devices. When I try to open iTunes, it will stop immediately as a result of Data Prevention Execution (DEP). How can I get rid of this issue?

You can fix up this issue by adding iTunes into DEP exception list. Click on the ‘Start’ button first and select ‘Properties’ after right clicking on ‘Computer’. Press the ‘Advanced System Settings’ button on the left panel of the window pop up on the screen afterwards. Then, click on ‘Settings’ button and wait until another window opens. Press the ‘Data Execution Prevention’ tab located at the top of that window. Click the ‘Add’ button after that and get into the C Drive. Open iTunes folder from ‘Program Files’ and select ‘iTunes.exe’. Once you finish adding the exception, press the ‘OK’ button available on the DEP window.
