Cannot save Power Schemes on Windows XP

I went into ‘Power Options’ inside ‘Control Panel’ on my PC running on Windows XP for changing Power Schemes. But, with the ‘Save As’ button I could not save anything on my system. What should I do to resolve this issue?

First of all, restart your system in Safe mode and check whether it is possible to save the ‘Power Schemes’. Press the F8 key continuously while restarting your system until the Boot menu pop up on the screen. Select any option from ‘Windows Advanced Options’ menu and hit the ‘Enter’ key. The boot menu will appear again from which select the ‘Safe Mode’ option and press the ‘Enter’ key again. If the issue still persists, then reset the power schemes into default settings. Choose the ‘Run’ option from the start menu for that after pressing ‘Start’ button. Once you can view the ‘Run’ dialog box, type cmd into it and press the ‘OK’ button. Type powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies into the Command Prompt afterwards and hit the ‘Enter’ key.

    hello guest !!

    just in the power option.
select >> create your own power option.
there you give your own power option, what you were giving in previous.
now save as will be highlighted.
    so click on save as.
your problem will be sort out.

    thanks for posting in EALP.
