    Can't install .net Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 Consumer Preview

    Hello, I am working on .net Framework since last two years and many applications or programs needs .net Framework 3.5. As i am using windows 8 CP and unable to have Framework 3.5. Sometimes getting 0x800F0906 error also. Is there any ways available so, my windows 8 will be able to have .net Framework 3.5. Need Help on this issue!!

    Steps to Turn on .NET frame work 3.5 in windows 8 operating system,

    1:First of all, go to Turn windows features on or off

    Either by searching or by going through control panel

    2:After entering, You will find the first option will be .NET frame work 3.5

    3:Check mark on that

    4:Finally click on, OK

    5:Now your computer will get update from internet and restarts

    6:After restart your system will be turned on with .NET frame work 3.5.

    You are having Trouble Can't install .net Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 Consumer Preview

    .NET framework 3.5 is inbuilt feature in windows 8 .

    To install this feature you have to do the following steps below.

    you have to insert windows 8 DVD in cd/dvd drive .

    First of all you have to open cmd as adminstrator .

    now you have to paste the following command into your cmd .

    dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /Source:H:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

    here H: is Wiindows 8 dvd drive

    before this you have to insert windows 8 DVD in cd/dvd drive .

    the all feature will be installed into your pc in some moment including .net 3.5

    Hi, Dear friend

    To get the solution of this ... first of all press the windows key+I from the keyboad

    And now click on Change PC settings option from the charm bar

    And now at the left pane choose GENERAL option .... after that click on RESTART NOW button under the ADVANCE START up Category from the right pane

    And next choose Troubleshoot option ...and Next click on Advance Options

    after that choose Automatic Repair .. option ...... and then follow the screen instructions to Complete the Process

    After that ......press windows key+W from the keyboard....and then type windows features in the search box

    Now click on Turn windows features on or Off option from the left pane

    And now choose .NET Fame work 3.5 Option ... Check box....and then click OK button ..., YES ... after that your problem will be solved

    Hello my dear Friend


    You have to follow the below steps to resolve the issue

    If you get an Error Message then you can try to follow the below steps during Installation

    Try to Go to the Drive where you have the Windows 8 Installation files


    Now you can try this command prompt

    dism.exe/online/enable-feature/feature name:NetFx3/Source: ___:\Sources\sxs/Limit Access


    In the Blank space you have to type the Name of the Letter drive that is the Disk letter which you have to insert

    Then try to insert the Drive to Install the .NET Frame work3.5 on the windows 8

    Finally you can resolve the issue by follow the above steps

    for this it's not suitable for system configuration.

    or

    In your system already having another .net framework

    At that time you need to un install that one install freshly this 3.5 .net framework
