CD Driver not working in my Windows PC even when it is detected in the Device Manager

I have Dell laptop with Windows OS, now the problem which I am facing is that the CD Driver is not working properly in my Windows PC. The drive is detected and it is seen in the Device Manager too but the problem is it doesn’t eject manually and if I puts some disk in the drive it won’t detect any data. What might be the problem? If it is a drive problem it should not been detected in Device Manager. Is it a problem with my Windows OS? How to fix it?

    Hiiiiiiii
CD driver does not detect in many cases, some of them are
1)If there is any lose connection in your laptop.check it if it is fine then refer to next step
2)when your CD driver has hardware problem like if your CD driver lens are damaged or not working, take it to your near Hardware professional.
    Thank You

    Hi,
The problem of not sensing the media can occur due to a variety of reasons.
When the Device manager identifies it that means it is there but problem must be in the drive,
Do this, download the exact cd driver from the manufacturers site and load into your system.
Use a cleaning kit to clean the optical drives Lense and test all the connectors of the drive if possible.
Use a blower to blow air onto the drive to remove dust from inside.
Now insert the cd into it and check the status.
Failing which it`s the drive problem and possibly the laser pointer lense allignment is ill-alligned somehow.
    Thank you.

Re: CD Driver not working in my Windows PC even when it is detected in the Device Manager

hi dear friend..........many of the reasons involved in cause of not working the CD driver

first check whether the inserted Disk is fine or not
    '
if there is any crashes or lines in the INDEX or CD broken of the Disk cases ......then also the disk is not detected by the CD Driver

in case of older CD's and data INDEX problems also the CD ....is cannot be readable

and for the confirmation try with the Other CD's

if there a same problem........then check the CD Driver

some times if there is a problem in the ROM drivers ....then also problem arises

so first check the ....CD driver is enabled or not.....in the Device manager

if it is enabled and then also the same problem arises ..........

then there should be a problem in the Hard ware

....then contact the nearest ....service centers ......and resolve your issue................all the bst
