    Solution
STEP 1: Start MS Word 2010.
STEP 2: Click “Open” on the Standard Toolbar.
STEP 3: Locate and double – click the folder where recovered files are stored.
    STEP 4: The path would be “C:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\<program name>”.
STEP 5: Click “All Files” in the “Files of Type” box.
STEP 6: Select the file and click “Open”.
STEP 7: Save the file, your problem is solved.

    MICROSOFT WORD 2010.

    Click “open” in standard toolbar

Navigate and then Double Click on folder where recovery is stored

    It might be “C:\documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\<program name>”

Choose “All Files” option in File Type

    Choose file and click open

    Save file It’s Done

    MICROSOFT WORD 2003

Well, the default is about 5 minutes, however you can easily change it to less if like me you can type quite a lot in 5 minutes!

    Open Microsoft word

    Click on Tools Menu Option

    Click on save

Then about 3/4 way down it has it all

If you wish to change this, click the "Tools" tab, then click "Options" then click "Save" tab on the new window. It should
show a list of save options and halfway through the window should state a "Save Auto-recovery info every: "
