Changing printer status to online on Windows Vista

While I was using printer with my laptop upgraded to Windows Vista, I found it shows the status as offline. I want to change that printer status into online. How can I make it possible?

Get into the start menu by clicking the ‘Start’ button on the bottom left corner of the desktop. Click the ‘Printers and Faxes’ icon available on that menu. You can then find a window having the list of printers set up on your PC. Double press the icon of the printer for which you want to change the status. A window will then pop up on the screen with all the current print jobs. Click the ‘Printer’ in the menu bar available afterwards and clear off the checkbox next to ‘Use Printer Offline’. This will make the printer status as online.

Procedure for changing printer status to online on Windows Vista :

:: If your printer status is enabling then, you have to disable or vice versa and for that, you need to move the menu from the start-up.

:: Then select the “Printers and Faxes”.

:: After that, select the printer and open the print jobs option into it.

:: Now here you OFF or ON the Printer Offline option.

:: This is the way to change the status of printer.
