    Changing programs that runs automatically on Windows XP start up

    I would like to know how to change the programs that run automatically on Windows XP start up in my Lenovo laptop. Please help me on this.

    Go through the steps to understand how to change the programs that run automatically on Windows XP start up.

    • Right click on the ‘Start’ button and then click the ‘Explore’ option
    • Windows Explorer will be opened and Start menu will be displayed.
    • Click on ‘Programs’ in the left pane and select the program you want to run automatically on start up.
    • Right click on the ‘Program’ in the right pane and click ‘Copy’.
    • Click ‘Programs’ in the left pane and right click ‘Start up’ and then click ‘Paste’.
    Repeat the steps if you want to add more programs to the group.

    Follow these simple steps that will help you out,

    • Right-click on start and hit on Explore.
    • Now Windows Explorer will display your start menu.
    • Click the program at the left pane that you wanna run automatically.
    • Right-click on the program at the right pane and then Hit copy.
    • Right-click programs at the left pane and Hit paste.
    • Repeat these steps to the programs which you wanna run automatically.

    Hello friend,
    To change the programs on start up in XP you have simple procedure here
    ~~> Click Start> Run
    ~~> Type msconfig press enter
    ~~> System configuration utility Window will open

    ~~> Click Start up tag
    ~~> Select/Deselect Check boxes what you want
    ~~> Click Apply> OK

    follow these steps;

    1.open START>PROGRAMS.

    2.Browse to find the program you want to automatically open.In the right click pane ,Right-click the program and then click copy.

    3.in the left pane click programs ,right-click STARTUP and then paste.

    4.repeat 2and 3 steps to add or remove more programs.

    1.Click on your "Start" button and choose "Run"from the start screen.

    2.
    Type "MSCONFIG" into the text box of the Run window. Click "OK" to run the configuration program.

    3.Choose "Start up" tab on the system configuration utility screen.

    4.Scroll down the list of programs that are on the Startup screen. Remove the check mark beside any programs you don't need to launch automatically, such as Microsoft Office, any reminder programs and programs you no longer use.

    5.Click "Apply" when you have finished selecting the programs to remove from Startup.

    6.Reboot your computer. A screen will display asking you to confirm the new startup procedure. Once you have confirmed the changes, the software you selected will no longer launch automatically at the startup of your machine.

    hiii,its simple and easy...........

    just go the start menu and click run button...............

    then in run type msconfig............and press ok........

    then a window opens in that.......click startup then you can select what programs you want to remove from your start up list...........and what you want to open..................

    Friend, to make Changes in Programs that runs automatically on Windows XP Start Up, follow these Steps.

    STEP 1: Click on the "Start" Button > Run.

    STEP 2: Type "MSCONFIG" in the Text Box and Hit "Enter".

    STEP 3: Choose the "Startup" Tab on the System Configuration Utility Screen.

    STEP 4: Scroll down and you can view all the Start Up Programs. Un Check Programs, which you do not need on the Start Up.

    STEP 5: Click on the "Apply" Button.

    STEP 6: Reboot your Computer. A Screen will appear to asking you to Confirm the new Start Up Procedure. Once you Confirm, Changes are made to the Start Up.

    HI,

    FOLLOW THE STEPS -

    1)Decide if manually disabling programs is right for you.

    2)Avoid disabling something critical to your system.

    3)Opening the start menu and clicking "Run".

    4)Type in msconfig in the text box, and click "OK" or press "Enter."

    5)Click on the "Startup" tab. This shows the different programs that start up when you turn on your computer.

    6)Get to work disabling the programs that you don't want starting up automatically.

    7)Click "OK" once you've finished disabling the automatic programs.

    Thats it your problem will be solved...

    For Changing programs that runs automatically on Windows XP start up you have to download only a single software called Tuneup Utility ..
    this the best software for this type of works... and you can speed up your system also by using this software .
    When you install this software run it ...on the top there will be a option "Optimize System" . click on that
    Now you can Change programs that runs automatically on Windows XP start up...

    TO change the Startup programs you have to change the startup configuration. For this change follow these steps :-
    -First press window + R button. This will open a terminal for you .
    -In this type MSCONFIG and press enter.
    -A new window is open in front of you , here select the boot.ini option.
    -Here you can add or remove applications or program you want at the starting of your windows.
    -After changes save this and your new configuration will work from next reboot.

    hi my dear friend..................to start the programs automatically at the windows startup


    first click on the start menu and choose the Run

    or......directly press windows key + r and type in that msconfig and press ENTER

    then there is a window will be displayed .......in that choose the startup

    then there you choose the ...programs whatever the programs you want to startup at the windows startup

    hi .....to change the programs .....at the startup


    GO to the start menu and open control panel

    click the system and security option

    then click the Adnimistrative tools option

    after double the system configuration short cut

    and tab on the start up TAB

    after change the settings .....whatever you want ......and click ok



    and after start up programs will be changed thank you!!!!!!!!
