Re: Changing Time Zone in HP notebook with windows Vista

    DEAR::

Setting up the notebook PC for the first time
Begin by following the steps below.
    Unpack the box.
    Insert the battery.
Connect the notebook to an external power (AC wall plug).
Turn on the notebook PC by pressing the power button.
Powering on the notebook for the first time
This section describes the screens that will appear as you power on the notebook for the first time, and provides information about the decisions Windows Vista will require as setup continues.

The HP logo appears on a black screen.
A Microsoft screen appears, saying "Please wait a moment while Windows Vista prepares to start for the first time." A load bar also appears, indicating progress.
The words "Please wait" appear on a colored Windows background.
    The HP logo reappears briefly.
    A MS load bar appears.
    Setting up Windows Vista
At this point, the setup process requires input from the user for guidance.
Windows will ask what country or region the computer will be used in, the time and currency to be set as a default, and what keyboard layout should be set.
Select these options from the dropdown menus and click Next .
The next screen will ask for confirmation that the user accepts the license terms and the End User License Agreement .
Select both checkboxes and then click Next
The next screen will ask the user to select a User name and password . It also requires you to select an image to represent your account. (This User name is for the administrator of the computer.)
Type the selected User name, type the password, retype the password in the next field that appears, and select an image. Then click Next .
    Create a computer name.
Type a name for your computer in the field, and select a background. Then click Next .
The next option will be to Help protect Windows automatically . There are three choices available: Use recommended settings (automatically downloads and installs all updates provided by Microsoft), Install important updates only (only downloads and installs critical updates), and Ask me later .
HP recommends the Use recommended settings option for most users. Select your option and click Next .
Next, you will be asked to review your date and time settings.
Verify your time zone and the correct time, then click Next .
Next you will be asked to select your computer's current location. Windows will set up different levels of security depending on if you are in a Home network, a Work network, or in a Public location.
Select the option that reflects where you will most often use the computer, and then click Next .
Windows will then display a Thank you screen, followed by the words Please wait while Windows checks your computer's performance .
The Windows login screen will appear.
Login to your computer using the User name and password you set up earlier.
A Preparing your desktop screen will appear.
    Setting up HP content
The HP welcome movie will now play. You may be asked to provide information, depending on your notebook model and region.
After this, the Personalized Settings will begin to load.
