    Channel changing issues with Windows media centre in Asus notebook

    I am not able to change the channels with Windows media centre in my Asus notebook. Please help me to sort these issues in the notebook.

    Friend, follow these Steps to resolve your Problem.

    STEP 1: Close the "Windows Media Centre".

    STEP 2: Click "Start" > All Programs > Accessories.

    STEP 3:Right - Click on the "Command Prompt" and click "Run as Administrator".

    STEP 4: Type "net stop ehrecvr" and hit Enter.

    STEP 5: Click "Start" > Computer and then click the Windows installed drive.

    STEP 6: Double - Click the "ProgramData" Folder, double - click "Microsoft" and then Double - Click "eHome".

    STEP 7:Click the "mcepg2-0" File and press "Delete" Key.

    STEP 8: From the Previously opened Command Prompt Window, type "net start ehrecvr" and hit Enter.

    STEP 9: Close the Command Prompt Window and start Windows Media Centre.

    Since you didn't mentioned the particular error so its tough to provide you the appropriate solution.

    You have to check for some possible reasons of fault.

    1. Check that the TV tuner card is working properly or not.

    2. Check that the connecting cable is working properly or not.

    3. Check your set top box has any fault or not.

    If those above factors has no problem then-

    Launch Windows Media Center.

    Scroll down to the Tasks & click on the Settings.

    Select the TV settings from the list.

    Click on Get Latest Guide Listings & then click on Add Missing Channels option.

    After that follow the instructions prompted by the media center to solve your problem.

    Dear Friend........

    If you want to know that how to channel changing issue in windows media center in Asus notebook ..So you just see my some easy and steps and then try it your self.....
    Let's have a look.....

    First of all you just start your computer and then just click on the Start menu and then go to the all programs and then click on the Accessories and then just Right click on the Command prompt and click on "Run as administrator" ..After that you just type "net stop ehrecvr" and then press enter..Now click on the start and then my computer and click on the windows installed drive.Now double click on the "Program Data" Folder.and then click "Microsoft" and then Double - Click "eHome"....Now click the "mcepg2-0" File and press "Delete" Key..Now at the end From the Previously opened Command Prompt Window, type "net start ehrecvr" and then just press enter..and close the command prompt and then restart Windows media Center....

    ALL Done.......
