    • First of all download the Windows Live OneCare Utility cleanup tool
    • Then tap on ‘save’ in ‘File Download – Security Warning’ dialog box in Windows Internet Explorer
    • Browse the location for saving the file and tap on ‘save’
    • Right tap on file and on ‘Run as administrator’
    • Tap on ‘run’ and the click on ‘Continue’
    • ‘I accept the terms of the End User Licensing Agreement’ should be selected and then again tap on the option ‘continue’
    • Then you need to click on ‘Clean’
    • Once the clean-up tool finishes work, tap on ‘Restart Now’

    Hi,
This was a problem that bugged everyone round the world as the program was not free from bugs, and there was compatibility errors within the program and that haunted the users who had faith in the Redmond based giant.
Go to control panel , click install / uninstall program , uninstall live one fron the list presented and its done.
Not really, as the program leaves a few signature files and marks all round and refuse to budge.
Problem is, there will still have MpEng.exe and others running in processes tab. They refuse to "end". The Onecare folder will be present in Program files. The uninst file in that folder will not work.
Microsoft suggested to reinstall and uninstall. Following that suggestion several times without any result.
Now download an utility from the net and use that for deep and extensive cleaning , run that and its friendly interaction will guide you to help uninstall the program and then you will be free from the trouble.
    Thank you.
