Computer hangs too much after windows 7 upgrade

I have a problem with my HP NX6325 laptop. Whenever i multitask, play video games or watch videos, the laptop hangs. I upgraded from windows xp SP2 to windows 7 and even changed the hard disk.I think the problem could be with the RAM. Can i upgrade it to 2 GB?Can i also change the processor? What can i do to improve the performance?

Re: Computer hangs too much after windows 7 upgrade

Your laptop freezing whenever you run intensive task could be due to the components overheating. The vents of the CPU cooler may have been clogged with dust, leading to heat build-up. Seek the help of a professional to open the back panel of your laptop and get rid of the dust. As for the RAM and the processor, you can upgrade your RAM up to 4GB,but it should be compatible with your laptop. The configuration suggests that it uses DDR2-667 RAM. If i am right then it is almost impossible to upgrade the processor since notebook processors aren’t available off the shelf like processor for desktop PCs.

Hang-condition of any system arises out of many a problems. Both hardware and software related issues are responsible and they are discussed hare.

    Hardware:
The processor can be an issue, RAM can be an issue, graphic card can be an issue.HDD can also be responsible.

You can add RAM to your existing system to create more memory space.
Check the HDD media if that has any bad track/sector in it.
Check the graphics card or chipset if they are working fine or not.

    Software:
Check the system comprehensively for virus presence, clean immediately.
Is your Windows 7 installation successfull, or was there any glitch while installing it?Repair it using the Windows 7 installer.
If the problem persists, CLEAN INSTALL Windows7, deleting existing installation.

    Hello,

The ideal RAM from Windows 7 is minimum 2 GB. So you should upgrade RAM of
your HP pc. The problem is happening due to lack of memory. So RAM could be the
issue. Hard disc could also be another issue. You should first upgrade your RAM and
then see wheather you are having the same problem gain or not.

    Bye,

    Hi, Dear friend

Generally the requirement of the windows 7 is

Windows 7 requirements for the 32 Bit Os
    1 GHZ of processor
    1GB of RAM
    16 GB of Hard drive
DirectX verison 9 graphics card device

    1Ghz of 64 bit processor
    2GB of RAM
    20 GB or Hard drive
DirectX verion 9 graphics card device

So, if you have sufficient ... Configuration ... then no problem .. other wise generally it is slow

But however .. we can get the some better performance within the configuration by doing all these things

press windows key+R and type cleanmgr and click OK .. select C: Drive and again click OK

then select the unwanted things from the list and click ok ...and then click Delete button

and also perform the Disk Difragement operation ... ... to save the disk space which results the PC become fast

and also press windows key+r and type control desktop and click OK then apply the windows Classic Theme... and choose save changes button

and remove the temporary files ..........

and the above things will make you to get the better performance

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Computer hangs too much after windows 7 upgrade

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..................

1.Yes, you have to update your Ram.

2.If your Ram speed is less than 2 GB then you update it.

3.And one more important thing is graphic card.

4.You need to have minimum of 256 MB graphic memory.

5.For this you might have to change the Motherboard too.

6.If your present motherboard supports then OK.

    Have a nice day..............
