Connecting a wireless mouse to dell windows 7 desktop computer?

Is it possible to connect a wireless mouse to my dell computer? How do the mouse and computer communicate?

Just connect the small usb dongle given to you to your computer. If it has the software needed to run the wireless mouse then it will automatically get installed and a pop up will say new device successfully installed.

Else install the software from the cd .

Thats it!! after that from the next time whenever you connect the small usb dongle the mouse will work like a charm.
