Consistently getting an error message "must have windows firewall on"

I am consistently getting an error related to windows firewall which appears when I tried to install Softwares. First of all it shows an error "must have windows firewall on". After sometime, it flashes an error "It can't be turned on". It asks me to restart windows firewall service with error code 0x6D9. What should I do to fix this issue?

First of all check whether any other third party firewall is turned on or not.If it is turned on then turn it off and follow the below given procedure:
    • Click on "Start" and then enter "services" in the search box and then click on "services" under Programs list.It can ask for permission so grant it.
    • Now locate "Windows Firewall Service" and open it by double clicking on it.
    • Now you will have to make some changes in from Properties so set "Startup type" to "Automatic".
    • Next click on "start".This step is necessary to start the service. If the service is already active then Stop it by clicking the stop button.
    • Finally click on "Ok" to exit from Windows Firewall Properties window.
    • It will fix your issue. If you want to turn on "Windows Firewall" then follow http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    Hi.
I suggest you to check if the Windows Firewall service is started and its startup type is set to Automatic. To do this, follow these steps.
    >>Click Start, type services, right click on Services item from the list, click “Run as administrator”.(If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue).
    >>From the list of services, double click on Windows Firewall, change the startup type to Automatic, click Start and then click ok.

Once the above steps are executed, check for the Firewall settings.
    >>Click Start, click Control Panel.
    >>Click Security Center, check if the Firewall status is ON.
    >>If Firewall status is OFF, then click Windows Firewall in the left pane of the window and adjust the settings.

    Thank you.
