Can we create shortcut in Windows 7 other than default shortcuts. If yes, then I want to create shortcut for Group Policy Editor. Please, help me in creating the shortcut for group policy editor and add it to the taskbar.

STEP 1: Right click on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut.
STEP 2: A Windows opens and type “c:\windows\system32\gpedit.msc” in the location field.
STEP 3: Click “Next” to continue.
STEP 4: Give the name of this shortcut something which is meaningful or easy to remember.
STEP 5: Click on the “Finish”.
STEP 6: Now, you have short cut for Group Policy Editor on your Desktop.
STEP 7: To add it to the Taskbar, drag it and pin it there.

METHODS TO CREATE SHORTCUTS FOR GROUP POLICY EDITOR
METHOD1 :- BY PROGRAMMING METHOD
1. Right click on desktop ,,,,,,Then click on New.....Then click on Text Document
2. Name it Group Policy Editor and type in text file start gpedit.msc
3. Then Click on File menu.......Then Save As ..... Then save it with Group Policy Editor.bat On Desktop
4. Now a Bat file is created . Double click on it will open Gpedit.msc
METHOD 2 :- BY CREATING SHORTCUT
1 Right Click on Desktop. A pop-up menu appears
2. In Pop-up menu click on New then click on shortcut
3. Then Create shortcut Dialog Box appears
4. In Location Type :- "c:\windows\system32\gpedit.msc". Click Next
5. Now Give name to Shortcut and Click Finish
6. A Group Policy Editor Shortcut is created On Desktop
7. Double Click on this shortcut it will open group Policy Editor
yes, we can create a shortcut for group policy editor on desktop
here is the procedure to that..
right click on the desktop
click in the New and then Shortcut.
now type this link there.. "c:\windows\system32\gpedit.msc" without quotes.
click on next
you will be asked to name it..
you can name it as Group Policy.
click Finish.
that's it, shortcut is on your desktop and you can access it directly from there..
