D drive is full and a file called VHD is occupying large space

I am getting pop up message that my D drive is full. I have only limited number of documents and pictures on my computer. I have installed only some random programs such as adobe, daemon tools, etc. not even games are there. But I found that a file called VHD has occupied about 204 GB of my device. What is this VHD file and how can I get rid of this one?

    Hello,

Well, VHD is a Virtual Hard Disk. This file is normally related to Virtual PC. You
should follow the following steps to delete the large VHD file from D drive,

    1. Open start menu and in the search box type compmgmt.msc and press Enter.
    2. If promped by User Account control then click Yes.
    3. In the left pane clikc on Disk Management.
    4. In the middle pane, right click on the Disk # of the VHD (left side in middle pane), and click on Detach VHD.
    5. Check the Delete the virtual hard disk file after removing the disk.
    6. Click on OK.
    7. The VHD has been removed from D drive and your PC.

    Bye,
