Re: Default resolution got disturbed in Windows XP

    hi my dear friend,

In the safe mode by default the PC will takes 800x600 resolution automatically. because in this mode the GPU
( graphic processing Unit ) is not loaded.

And there is no option to change the resolution in the safe mode because in the safe mode there is no drivers.

after performing the trouble shooting ....simply login with the normal mode

and right click on the desktop and select the properties

now choose the settings tab.....and adjust the screen resolution whatever you want

after the adjustment click the apply button and after click OK

    ALL THE BEST..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

Windows use Safe Mode once it founds problem somewhere and when it fail to perform normally.

So when Safe Mode is the selected mode to be operated, Windows choose things conservatively and set all settings accordingly.

It sets resolution to minimum to avoide internal problems as Safe Mode booting doesn`t load a number of Drivers owing to this miniaturisation of usage.

If you can boot normally, Right Click on an empty space on the Desktop,

Select Properties, there you can set the resolution to the highest the far your computer supports.

    Thanks.

    Instructions

      • 1Change the resolution of the screen to its maximum in cases where the screen size has been compromised due to selecting a non-native resolution. To accomplish this, right click on the desktop and select the option to "Personalize." From there, click on "Display Settings," then slide the resolution bar all the way to the right and press "Ok" to confirm your choice. This should restore your screen to its proper size.

      • 2Toggle with the monitor controls if you are using a CRT monitor and the size of the screen has been altered. Simply press the "Menu" key on your screen, then move through the display options until you find the options for vertical and horizontal size. Increase these as necessary using the appropriate buttons on your monitor to maximize the screen size.

      • 3Increase the size of the window using keyboard or mouse shortcuts if the screen size is sub-maximal due to program settings. Accomplish this by clicking on the "Maximize Window" button (between the "_" and the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the screen). Alternatively, you can also maximize the size of the screen by double clicking on the bar at the very top of the window or by using the keyboard combination of "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Break".
