Deleted files not moving to Recycle Bin on Windows Vista

It seems that the Recycle Bin application is not working with my PC running on Windows Vista. Whenever I delete a file or folder, it is not saved into ‘Recycle Bin’. How can I fix up this issue?

The first step required to right click on ‘Recycle Bin’ icon. This will bring up a menu on the screen. Navigate through that menu and click the ‘Properties’ option. You can then find ‘Properties’ window on the screen. Locate the ‘Custom size’ label from that window. There will be file size field under that label. Increase the size by typing more MBs into the field.

Re: Deleted files not moving to Recycle Bin on Windows Vista

    Hello my friend,

->As you said that when you delete the files on Windows Vista then they do not go to Recycle Bin but my friend this occurs due so memory problem of Recycle Bin means there is no space in the recycle bin that's why they do not go to Recycle Bin.

->My friend,You have to do either to empty the recycle bin or to re-size the recycle bin.

->If the all memory of the recycle bin is full then you have to empty the recycle bin to move other files to them.

->Otherwise you can increase the size of the Recycle bin by doing the following steps:

    1.Go to Recycle Bin.
    2.Then right click on it.

    3.Go to Properties.
4.Custom the size by giving the size in MB.

    Thank u..!!

Re: Deleted files not moving to Recycle Bin on Windows Vista

right click on the recycle bin.
    select properties.
you will notice a window like this.
    re.jpg

now remove tick mark on " Do not move file to recycle bin"

    now click OK

from now whenever you delete a file it will be saved in recycle bin..

be sure you never hold shift key while deleting files, because holding shift key will delete the file permanently from the hard disk..

    happy to sever you

    Hi friend,
your files are not stored in recycle bin due to some settings
    which might have changed :
-- on your desktop right click on recycle bin
    -- and click on properties
-- now check custom size and increase the size of deleted files
-- and your files will be stored in recycle bin after they have
    deleted.
    Thank You!

    hiii........
its so simple to keep deleted things in Recycle Bin.
You just have to right click on "recycle bin Icon" and select "Properties".
Then simply uncheck the option "Don't move files to recycle bin....". And also you can increase the size of Recycle bin by editing values, which is defaultly 4.5 GB Approx. but remember tat if you increase memory values, it would be taken from the drives you select... means lesser allocation in your drives.
