    Dell facial recognition not working with windows 8

    When i upgraded from windows xp to windows 7 i was able to the facial recognition in dell worked fine. But recently when i upgraded from Windows 7 to windows 8 I am not able to start dell facial recognition. The software is there and it is installed but it does not start. Why am I not able to start facial recognition?

    as you said that you installed the software and still it doesn't work... there might be compatibility problem with software and your OS.

    to solve this problem

    right click on the icon of that software
    you will get a list of options
    from that list select "troubleshoot compatibility"
    select windows XP or 7 from the drop down.
    click ok

    now start your installed application and find the difference...

    All versions of FastAccess (the name of the face recognition software) 3.X or newer will at least work in Win8, though only 4.X is designed specifically for Win8. Start by checking to be sure that you have at least 3.X or newer. If you do, then you may simply need to de-install and re-install.
