I don't think we need to install or run any additional drivers in order connect an external keyboard of Dell Keyboard SK-8135, but when am connecting this keyboard to my HP Laptop, nothing happens on my Laptop, in fact the connected device is not being recognized, so tell me what can I do now in order to make this keyboard work on a Dell Laptop?

to solve the above said problem read the following steps
##go to start menu
##click on control panel
##click on device manager
##click on Keyboard driver and update device driver software
##after successful update restart your system
these steps may solve your problem

Your assumption is correct, you need to install driver for the keyboard to activate it.
Log into www.dell.com/drivers, and find driver for SK8135 and which is compatibleto the windows version which you have installed in your laptop, download, install the driver.
Things will become normal and the keyboard will be recognized by the system.

First of all check whether the keyboard working properly or not
after that press windows key+R and type devmgmt.msc in the run box
now press ENTER key .............after that expand keyboards....... and right click on HID keyboard Device
then choose the UNINSTALL option from the pop up .... menu ..... and follow the instructions
now remove the Keyboard from the PC ........ and restart the PC
now press windows key+r and type sysdm.cpl and press ENTER key by using the onscreen keyboard
then tap on HARDWARE tab ..... and click DEVICE INSTALLATION SETTINGS button
now select YES, Do This Automatically ... option from the window and click the OK button
now connect the External keyboard again .........then the drivers of keyboard will be installed automatically ...... ..... after that your problem will be resovled
