Dell Laptop installs the updates of Microsoft Silverlight directly without permission

I use Windows 7 Professional in Dell Laptop. It has Microsoft Silverlight whose updates are installed directly without my permission. Whenever there is an update, it gets installed. I do not want this to happen. What can be done to solve the problem? Please, help me!

    STEP 2: Click “Microsoft Silverlight”.
STEP 3: “Microsoft Silverlight Configuration” opens.
STEP 4: Tap on the “updates” tab.
STEP 5: Select the radio button “Check for updates, but let me choose whether to download and install them”.
STEP 6: Click on the “Ok” Button.
STEP 7: Close the Microsoft Silverlight, your problem is solved.

    Dear Friend!!
First of all, you should know that Silverlight is very necessary to handle web pages easily.
Still you want not to update it, then no issues.
    Click start.
    Type Silverlight in search bar
    Select the program.
    A configurational box will open.
The second button is of updates.
You can select what type of option you want for automatic updates.

    Hi,

You need to tweak Windows a little to make it obey you,

Click start > control panel > system and security > windows update > change settings > here you will find "install updates automatically" selected, click on that and from the drop down menu select "download updates but let me choose ........" option.

    That will solve yor issue.

    Thanks.
