Desktop cannot be shared with people in my contacts through Skype in Windows 7 Professional

I installed Skype in Windows 7 Professional. When I tried to share the screen with one of my contacts, it is not allowing to share the screen. I logged OFF and logged in once more, but could not get rid off the problem. Please, help me to solve this problem.
