Desktop Folders disappeared automatically on Windows XP System.

I have many folders saved on my desktop and I don't have any of their backup in drives, today when I turned on my machine there are only shortcuts on the desktop. What should I do now in order to restore these lost folders. I have checked in recycle bin but they don't exist there.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say...........................

1.This can be the problem of the virus which affected your system.

2.So you try to install the best antivirus software and then use it.

3.If that is not your problem then you try o install the Recuva software.

4.And by using it try to recover the lost files.

5.Still if you have the problem then the problem is with the OS files so try to repair them.

    Have a nice day.......................

These is a rare thing to happen to a computer untill it is affected by a malware (computer virus) .

I don't thing it is a boot or system problem but due to a malice thing done by a malware , which may have entered your PC through External drives, mainly USB pen drives , or by downloading some virus affected software .

So try to scan your computer with your installed antivirus and remove all the antivirus then .

I'm sure the problem is what I have mentioned .
