    • First go to ‘settings’ in the start screen
    • Then move to the ‘control panel’
    • Then double tap on the icon System
    • Then click on Device Manager tab
    • Then double tap on ‘Advanced Power Management’
    • Then go to ‘Settings’ tab
    • There you can see a listing of the APM version

    dear friend,

Windows XP build in two types of power management option-

    Advanced Power Management (APM).
Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI).

When ACPI doesn't work in windows XP then APM takes it place.

It is very easy to access APM & check its version.

Follow these steps to check the APN version-

    Click on the Start button.
    Go to Control Panel.
Switch to the Small Icon view.
Select the Power option & double click on it.
Select the APM & also double click on it.

Go to the settings tab & you'll see the version of APM.

Hope now you can determine the APM version.
