Disabling auto-correction feature on Windows 7 based Samsung Focus

Whenever I type anything on my Samsung Focus running on Windows 7, I found the phone is correcting the words by itself. It is quite annoying while I send a text message through it. What has to be done for disabling it?

Once you get into the home screen, you can find an arrow pointing towards right icon on the top part. The moment you locate the icon, make a single tap on it. This will displays a set of options on the screen. Choose ‘Settings’ from that list of options. The next step required is to tap the ‘Keyboard’ option. You can then find ‘Correct misspelled words’ along with a checkbox. Tap on that box until the tick mark gets erased from it.
