    Drive sharing is disabled in Windows 7

    I have been using Windows 7 for the past 1 year. Recently I have found that the sharing option has disappeared from the tool bar. How to retrieve the old settings?

    Hey you can restore this very easily, follow the steps below:-

    1) Open "My computer". in the tool bar.

    2) Open any drive after that under "View" select "Choose details"

    3) Now check on the "Sharing status" "Shared" "shared with".

    now press Ok and restart the windows. You will see the sharing option in the toolbar.

    DEAR FRIEND,


    to resolve this issue follow the given procedure that is simply restore you system settings

    first of all click the start menu and go to control panel

    then after click on system and security option

    and next click backup and restore option

    after click on recover system settings or your computer option

    then click on open system restore option

    and select the recomended settings option and click NEXT

    then click click on Finish button

    then the process will begins ....

    and also your problem will be resolved....

    Hi friend,

    Here are the steps by which you can share the folder or drive in windows 7:-

    There are two methods by which you can share the folder or drive:-

    1. By using the window interface.

    2. By using command prompt.


    To share a folder or Drive using windows interface:-

    1. Open computer management.

    2. If the user account control dialog box appears, confirm that and it displays is what you want, and then click YES.

    3. In console tree, click System Tools, click Shared Folders, and then click Shares.

    4. On the Action menu, click New share.

    5. Follow the steps in the create a shared folder wizard, and then click Finish.


    To share a folder or Drive using Command LIne:-

    1. To open an elevated command prompt window click, start, then all programs, then accessories.

    2. Right click on command prompt and then click run as admin.

    3. If the user account control dialog box appears, confirm that action and click yes.

    4. Type:

    net share <sharename=driveath>

    5. for example, to share a folder named myshare located on c drive, in the path \users\myname, type:

    net share myshare=c:\users\myname.

    Hello friend..



    Follow these steps to Enable the Driver Sharing in windows 7.

    Open the My Computer then open the Folder Options.

    Click the View tab.

    In the Advanced Settings section, click to clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box.

    Click the OK button..
