Connect the lap to the second monitor and press the F4 button for projecting in the second monitor.
Thi can be done by manually if you dont have a shortcut key.

    Dear

    1. You may need to set the external display to be the primary display in the display properties (note that the configuration options may only be available once the external display is recognised).

    2. One of the function keys (Fn+F8 on my W3A) allows you to step through the options for use of the internal and external displays.

    Hope this helps,

If you have an addon graphics card with two outputs and one of them is working, then it has NOTHING to do with the rest of the computer.

    Your problem exists with:
    1) your graphics card,
    2) cable, or
    3) monitor

    Testing:
    1) Test BOTH monitors on the working graphics card VGA output (should work)
    2) Test a working monitor on BOTH VGA outputs (one at a time)

If things work up to this point it must be an issue with setup in the Catalyst Control Panel.

To configure the arrangement of multiple monitors:
    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.
    3. On the Settings tab, click Identify to display a large number on each of your monitors. This shows which monitor corresponds with each icon.
    4. Click the monitor icons and drag them to positions that represent how you want to move items from one monitor to another, and then click OK or Apply to view changes.

If you want to change the primary monitor then do this:
    Change Primary Monitor

    1. On the Settings tab of the Display Properties dialog box, click the monitor icon that represents the monitor you want to designate as the primary monitor.
    2. Click to select the Use this device as the primary monitor check box. Note that this check box is unavailable when you select the monitor icon that is currently set as your primary monitor.
