Enabling User Account Control (UAC) on Window Vista

As there are certain important documents in my PC running on Windows Vista, I want to prevent making unauthorized changes to it. I got to know that it is possible by enabling User Account Control (UAC) option available in Window Vista. How can enable it?

Re: Enabling User Account Control (UAC) on Window Vista

The first step is to open the ‘User Accounts’
    • Hit the ‘Start’ button
    • Click the ‘Control Panel’
    • Select the option ‘User Accounts and Family Safety’
    • And Click on ‘User Accounts’
If you are already connected to any network domain, then you can view only ‘User Accounts’ option instead of ‘User Accounts and Family Safety’ option. After performing all these steps, you should click on the ‘Turn User Account Control on or off’ option immediately. You may be then asked for administrator password or confirmation for going further. In that case, you should type the password or give confirmation at the specified space soon. You can then view ‘Use User Account Control’ option on the window appears on your screen. You should select the check box near to this option so as to enable User Account Control. Finally, you should click on ‘OK’ option to reflect the changes made.

    dear friend,

User account control is actually a very effective tool in windows.

With the help of this tool you can prevent unauthorized actions in your computer.

If you turn it ON then, at the time executing each program the computer will ask for your permission.

It'll allow that program only if you give the permission.

Follow the following steps to enable it-

    Click on the Start button.
    Go to Control Panel.
Click on "User Accounts and Family Safety" option followed by "User Account" option.
Select "Turn User Account Control on or off" option & turn it ON.
You have to provide administrator password if you are prompted.

By this way you can enable the UAC.
