    Erasing hiberfil.sys from Windows 7

I have already deselected the hibernation feature in GUI of laptop running on Windows 7. Still, it takes about 2GB space from the storage. To save the disk space, I want to delete hiberfil.sys from the system. How can I do that?

As a first step, open the privileged command prompt window on your laptop. For that, you need to click the ‘Start’ button first and select ‘All Programs’ from the start menu. The next step required is to click the ‘Accessories’ option. You can then find the Command Prompt icon on your screen. Right click on it until a set of options appears on the screen. Select ‘Run as administrator’ option so that you can get the permission to change the settings. Once the command prompt pops up on the screen, enter powercfg -h off into it.
