Re: Error 0x000000ED unmountable boot volume when trying to start PC after Windows 8 installation
Now this problem comes up if there is some issue with your system C: drive in your system which as the Windows 8 OS in it. Now to resolve this issue try to follow the below mentioned steps,
STEP 1: Just try to boot your Windows 8 OS from the Recovery disc.
STEP 2: Now from the command prompt just type in the command as “chkdsk /r C:”
STEP 3: If it asks for dismount the volume then just press “Y” and Enter.
STEP 4: Once after the scan finishes, restart your computer without the recovery disc in your Windows 8 system.
