When I try to upgrade Windows Vista SP1 with my PC to Windows Vista SP2, I got an error code 0x8007045D. It shows the same error message even after installing Windows Vista SP2 in safe mode. How to sort this error?

Before upgrading to sp2,first restore your computer and then try back in safemode.
to restore your computer
1.go to Start
2.accessories
3.sysytem tools
4.click on system restore
and follow the wizard.
Follow these steps:
1.Open My Computer.
2.Right click drive C:, select Properties.
3.Click tab Tools.
4.Click Check now.
5.Check both check-boxes, and click Start.
6.Follow instructions to restart Windows.

steps:
1. First click on Start
2. Then in search box type CMD and then press Enter
3.Then enter the following command in the command prompt Chkdsk /R X then enter.
5. After that select Y to run a disk check when you restart your PC
6. After that close all programs
7. Then reboot your computer
8.Now *repeat these steps 1-5 to run the disk check for all drives

Run Checkdsk
Error 0x8007045D can be fixed by running checkdsk scan. This scan helps you find the internal corruption in Windows. To run the checkdsk follow steps below:
1. Click Start
2. In search box type CMD and press Enter
3. Enter the following command in the command prompt Chkdsk /R X
NOTE: In the command X is used for drive letter
4. Press Enter
5. Hit Y to run a disk check when you restart your PC
6. Close all programs
7. Reboot your computer
8. Repeat the steps 1-5 to run the disk check for all drives
9. On completion of disk check for all drives re-run the backup process
Disable Security Services
