Error message “No bootable device, Please restart system” comes up on starting up Toshiba laptop running on Windows 8

It is not possible to do anything with my Toshiba laptop running on Windows 8. Each time I press the ‘ON/OFF’ button, I am getting the same error message saying “No bootable device, Please restart system”. What are the steps to fix up this issue?

Insert Windows 8 DVD into the laptop and boot up the system from it. You can then find ‘Repair your computer’ option on the screen. Click on that option and wait until the list of options pop up on the screen. Check that list and click the ‘Troubleshoot’ option. Then, locate the ‘Advanced options’ option and make a single click on it. Click the ‘Automatic Repair’ option afterwards and follow the instructions visible on the screen to complete the repair process. If this won’t work, make certain that correct boot order is displayed under BIOS settings and Video card settings. It is better to consult with manufacturer support if there is some issue related to BIOS.

    Hi,

Your computer due to some reason lost the bootable files or they are corrupt, either way you need to repair or install Windows8 installation.

Insert Windows 8 installation diskette into optical drive and boot from it.

In the next menu read it care fully and select "Repair....." option and answer to the questiones asked and input required info`es,

    Windows 8 will autorepair itself.

If it fails think of a fresk installation of Windows 8 to your computer.

    Thanks.
