Re: Event viewer shows a VSS error in windows 7

First of all check whether volume shadow copy service is running on your system or not. For doing the same, click on start and type "services.msc" in the search box and hit the enter button on your keyboard. Now try to look for "Volume Shadow Copy" and check whether the service is running or not. If the service is not running then start it immediately. If the issue still persists then open the registry editor and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Servic es>VSS>VssAccessControl and add a key MyDomain\MyUser with value 1.It will fix your issue. If you are still facing the same issue then troubleshoot the error by using VssAdmin command line tool.
