Extremely small size of fonts in some Applications after installing windows 7 in a computer having windows xp initially

I am facing a strange issue these days.Actually I was using a 2 years old laptop which came with windows xp installed. Although windows xp was working fine but I love windows 7 more so installed windows 7 in it. Now the problem which is troubling me is the small size of fonts in some applications like Teamviewer, VLC media player etc. All of the applications work fine but the fonts are so small, due to which it becomes different to work with it. Have you noticed this issue? If yes then what have you done to solve this issue?

This type of issue is generally due to resolution problem, Due to high resolution icons and fonts generally are small and more clear.
But if you wats to increase the font size and icon size then simply follow these steps:-

-first right click on the desktop screen
    -go in personalize
    -then select the display
-here you can increase the size from 100% to 125% and 150%.
    select and save .
    log off the pc
then log on now you see the changes your icon size is increased.

    dear friend,

It is not the issue of OS.

It is the issue of screen resolution , the magnifier & the DPI.

You can adjust the screen resolution, the magnifier size & the DPI to make the font bigger in size.

    1. To change the screen resolution-

    • Right click on the desktop.
    • Choose "Screen Resolution" option.
    • Now reduce the resolution to 800x600 size.
    • Though it may reduce the graphics quality but you can view the bigger fonts.
    2. To change the magnifier size-

    • Click on the Start button.
    • Go to Control Panel.
    • Select "Display".
    • Click on the "Magnifier" tool.
    • A magnifying glass will appear in the window.
    • You can use the glass temporarily to increase size of icons.
    • But it is the temporary-because,the glass will disappear after a restart.
    • To increase the font size upto 125% larger, check the "Medium" box & click on OK.
    3. To change the DPI-

    • Click on the Start button.
    • Go to Control Panel.
    • Select "Display".
    • From the left pane, select "Set custom text size (DPI)" option.
    • A new window will arrive.
    • Now change the DPI as your wish & the font size will change automatically.
    • Click on OK to save changes.

Hope these info will help you a lot.

    Hi,
There is no problem with the font size and different windows versions as they are installed in the computer and upgraded for better interface.
You need to set the font size from the control panel and once set that will give you the desired font size for visualization.
So From the Start menu, go to control and click there. Click on Display and select the option of viewing text and other items size according to your choice. press Apply and exit.
Also from the Control panel you can go to Fonts option and select the size of the fonts according to your requirment.
Finally the screen resolution is also responsible for the size of text and other items, higher the resolution smaller the visuals. So adjusting resolution sometimes solves the problem.
    Thank you.

    hii

If you want to increase the font size just follow these steps and it will be fine after that :

    - Firstly open control panel and then open appearance and personalization...
    - Now open adjust screen resolution option there
    - Next you have to select the size of your choice .. i.e. smaller , medium or larger to make your font size increase..
    - At last click apply and you are done..

After this you have to restart your computer so that changes work out...

    thanks
