    Fixing the Error 1402 in Windows 7 Professional System

    I have Windows 7 Professional in my System. When I login to the System is Administrator, I am getting the Error 1402. I do not know what is the problem. Please, anyone help me in providing the solution. Thank you in advance. Thank you!

    STEP 1: Click Start >> Run.
    STEP 2: Type “regedit”, hit Enter.
    STEP 3: “Registry Editor” opens.
    STEP 4: Move to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components”.
    STEP 5: Look for “C9AE13788D0B61F80AF18C3B9B1A1EE8”.
    STEP 6: Right - Click on the Key and select “Permissions”.
    STEP 7: Click on the “Add” Button and add "Administrator", "Administrators" and "SYSTEM" accounts.
    STEP 8: Make "Full Control = Allow" and "Read = Allow".
    STEP 9: Apply the changes, your problem is solved.

    whenever something is install or uninstall the microsoft window component ,then error 1402 will occurs.
    It is due to register file problem and error 1402 "could not open key registry permission" will be displayed.


    Fix the error 1402 in microsoft 7 professional system

    --> Go to "start" and then click on "Run"
    --> Type "Regedit" in the dialog box and give enter
    --> Locate "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/current version/installer/userdata/s-1-5-18/component"
    --> Expand it and locate "C9AE13788D0B61F80AF18C3B9B1A1EE8"
    --> now right click and select "permission"
    --> now new box will appear and select "add" and add your user account for which you want to give permission
    --> select "full control" and "read" and click on "apply"
