    Folder names in Windows 7 Professional System are not in black color

    I turned ON Windows 7 Professional System and the folder names are not black in color. They are in different color. I did not change the color and it got changed itself. I need to get the folder names to black color. Please, anyone help me in solving the problem. Thank you in advance. Thank you!

    STEP 1: Open Windows Explorer.
    STEP 2: In Command Bar, click Organize >> Folder and Search Options.
    STEP 3: Windows “Folder Options” opens.
    STEP 4: Tap on the “View” Tab.
    STEP 5: Uncheck the Option “Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color”.
    STEP 6: Click “Apply” and “Ok”.
    STEP 7: Names of folder is back to default.
    STEP 8: Restart the System, your Problem is solved.

    To restore the original settings on the View tab, click Restore Defaults, and then click OK.



    • Open a folder, click the arrow next to the Views button on the toolbar, and choose a view setting.
    • On the toolbar, click Organize, and then click Folder and search options.
    • In the Folder Options dialog box, click the View tab, click Apply to Folders, click Yes, and then click OK.
